Buy a can of maggots or dig up a load of worms? Now, whilst I love the fishing part, I'm not one to get too excited about the hour or so it takes to go out into the field at night, water the area where you reckon the worms are and dig like crazy!! Me, worms, snakes, maggots - no, we don't mix. Defend the practise all you like, but I just cannot bring myself to use anything other than my beautiful fishing lures....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The other problem with live bait is the smell. You just cannot get it off your clothes or your hands. And what about trying to enjoy your mid morning sandwich after you've been handling those slimy old worms for 4 hours? Not very appealing is it?
